Appointments

Cancellations, rescheduling, and late arrivals

Here's the deal:
  • You’ll get a reminder 48 hours before your appointment and again 3 hours before—because we’re helpful like that. (Not getting text or email confirmations and reminders? Be sure to check your account settings).
  • We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes. That gives us a chance to fill your spot with someone else who’s aching (literally) to get in. If you can’t make it in, maybe you have someone you can send in your place? You’ll get some good karma with them!
  • Changes or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged 50% of the scheduled service fee.
  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows? Those may be charged 100% of the service fee. Why? Because that time was set aside just for you, and we likely turned away others to honor it.
  • Running late? We will try to accommodate you as best we can, but tardiness may result in shortened time upon the table.

This isn’t about being harsh—it’s about being fair. When you support Michigan Massage and Wellness, you’re not padding a CEO’s yacht fund. You’re helping us pay mortgages, feed families, and continue to offer the kickass, healing work we love.

We promise to always treat you with respect and understanding—and we ask for the same in return. If you have a true emergency, please reach out. We’re human. We know things come up. Just don’t ghost us, okay?

Safety

For the safety of our staff and clients, our entry doors may be locked while people are in session. If you arrive early for your appointment and are unable to get in to our building, please be patient as a session may be finishing up and someone will let you in shortly.

We have security cameras in common areas of our facility, a well-lit and ample parking lot, security cameras outside of the building and work diligently to maintain the safety and security of our staff and clients.

Inappropriate behavior

At Michigan Massage and Wellness, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all our clients and staff. In order to maintain this standard, we have a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of sexual or inappropriate behavior during a massage session.

Policy Overview:
  1. Professional Boundaries: Clients are expected to respect the professional boundaries of our massage therapists. Any advances, comments, or gestures of a sexual or inappropriate nature are strictly prohibited.
  2. Consent: All massage sessions are conducted with the explicit consent of the client for therapeutic and non-sexual purposes. Any attempt to engage in inappropriate behavior without consent is a violation of our policies.
  3. Respectful Communication: Clients are expected to communicate any discomfort or concerns related to the massage directly and professionally. Inappropriate comments, requests, or gestures will not be tolerated.
  4. Immediate Termination of Session: If a massage therapist encounters any form of sexual or inappropriate behavior during a session, they are authorized to terminate the session immediately, and the client will be asked to leave the premises. Full payment of the session will still be expected.
  5. Zero Tolerance: Michigan Massage and Wellness has a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that compromises the safety, well-being, or professionalism of our therapists or clients. Clients engaging in such behavior will be barred from future appointments and local law enforcement may be notified.
Reporting Procedure:
If a client experiences or witnesses any behavior that violates our policy, we encourage them to report it immediately to the management. Reports can be made in person, by phone, or via email. All reports will be handled discreetly and confidentially, and appropriate action will be taken to address the situation.
Consequences:
Clients found in violation of this policy may face immediate expulsion from Michigan Massage and Wellness. In serious cases, legal action may be pursued.

Our commitment to providing a safe and professional environment for everyone is paramount. By adhering to this policy, we ensure that Michigan Massage and Wellness remains a place of healing, relaxation, and respect for all.
