Hi! I'm Rebecca, owner and founder of Michigan Massage and Wellness. As a massage therapist for 23 years and small business owner for nearly 21 years, I've poured my heart and soul into creating a practice that not only builds long-lasting client relationships, but also prioritizes the happiness and fulfillment of our team.
I know all of the things that new therapists struggle with as well as things that employees dislike working in a large franchise operation, so I've built something different, something better, and something sustainable for everyone because when you're happy in your environment, you thrive in your career.
We are looking for a therapist to mentor in everything we do! Experienced therapists, new grads, or current students nearing graduation are very welcomed; I’d love to support you as you start your career. You’ll receive paid mentoring from a highly successful massage therapist with over 20 years of experience and you will have the support from a small team setting where you are supported every step of the way to succeed and thrive.
Learn Specialized Skills - and not from the Internet:
We are known for our specialty work such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage and our therapeutic work, but that’s not all we do! The combination of our services along with our philosophy and stellar customer service is really what has made us last. You will acquire all the skills you need to become highly sought after by clients, setting you apart from the competition. And you'll learn by doing hands on training, not just by watching a few YouTube or TikTok videos of techniques.
Excellent Compensation:
Our compensation package is a “flat rate base pay” per session, alongside gratuities. With these two combined, you can easily expect an hourly rate ranging from $30-60, sometimes higher. The truth is, I want to pay you so well that you stay forever! In addition, we provide bonuses at various intervals throughout the year and give you opportunities to earn more. *Please note that the salary range on this job posting does factor in the average gratuities that are added and we do also pay for administrative time when applicable.

With client relationships lasting longer than a membership plan at one of the big chain places, we don't need to sell them on a monthly massage plan because they prioritize their health and well-being and understand and appreciate the value that we provide with our services. We truly do have the best clients!
Flexible Schedule:
My first priority is your well-being and happiness. I want you to create your ideal schedule. We prioritize time between clients based on your comfort (only need 15 minutes? Great. Want a little bit longer? No problem), ensuring we can deliver an exceptional massage without ever feeling rushed. You do not need to stay if you’re not booked, and you are paid for missed appointments and late cancels.
You Get Regular Bodywork:
We practice what we preach here and we host regular skill-share days!
Class Reimbursement:
In addition to in-house collaboration and training, we reimburse for approved classes relevant to our practice. Amount determined by hours worked.

Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic massage services to clients, utilizing various techniques including deep tissue and trigger point therapy.
- Assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans based on individual conditions and goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments.
- Document client progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
- Deliver exceptional patient service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
