Intro
Sarah's path to massage therapy started early. Inspired by her family's approach to holistic and preventative health, she knew by middle school that this was how she wanted to give back and it was a calling that grew to include training in herbalism and preventative therapies alongside massage.
She trained at the Ann Arbor School of Massage, Herbal, & Natural Medicine and has been practicing for over 8 years. Her go-to techniques are myofascial work and light stretching, plus specialty scalp work that she loves sharing with clients. (It's the one thing that relaxes her instantly, too).
Sarah has worked extensively with clients managing fibromyalgia and other nervous-system-related conditions, tailoring her pressure and approach with each session to soothe symptoms and prevent flares. What keeps her passionate about this work is simple: the chance to meaningfully improve someone's day-to-day life, whether that's through stress relief, recovery support, or just steady care over time.
Currently growing her toolbox to include Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) therapy as well as diving into all that Michigan Massage and Wellness has to offer; outside the treatment room she's pursuing a degree in Data Science after several years in the tech nonprofit world.
What to expect in a session: warmth, professionalism, and open communication. Sarah makes sure every client feels comfortable and heard, and she's always happy to chat if that's your thing but she also wants you to take this time for you to fully lean in to that rare quiet time that you have and be able to disconnect.
